Abstract
Due to irrational cuttings and despite the sustainable development principles, the Romanian forestry environment has suffered a real decline; the factors responsible for the forests status in Romania are identified and the goal is now to ecologically restore the forests. But what can be expected from the territorial community and territorial actors’ intelligence and what are the possible links between the communitarian territorial intelligence and the local governance? To bring an answer to all these questions, we proceeded to a set of analyses and investigations in the region of Apuseni Mountains – Romania. The final results are the basis of our research study; they emphasize the need for a global approach, partnerships and citizens’ participation to the decisions taking action.
